Leg Up asks people with experience to volunteer an hour of their time to chat with someone who’s seeking advice. Whether you’re a gardener, an entrepreneur, a DJ, a journalist, a shopkeeper, a plumber, or anything else, you have knowledge, connections, ideas, and perspectives that someone else might benefit from.

We all have power to open (sometimes invisible) doors. Let’s see what happens when we do.

About Me

My name is Carrie and I’m an Irish writer who lives in Berlin, Germany.

Pre-pandemic, I used to run a meetup for Berlin-based content creators and spent a lot of time chatting with people who were figuring out their next steps as writers and people. I’ve always believed that great things can come from the right chat, and that’s how Leg Up started.

I want to create a space that helps people figure things out. Not a coaching service or even mentorship, but instead a space for focused, informal chats with smart people who know things. We all have insights we can share so why don’t we?
